I am a graduate student in Archaeology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, United States. I graduated with a B.A. from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, majoring in Anthropology and Philosophy & Religion.

My first extended field experience was at the Ancient Maya site of Lamanai, located in present-day Belize. In the summer of 2006 I worked at the Prehispanic Lenca site of Palos Blancos in northwest Honduras, near Palmarejo. Presently, I am completing my Master’s degree at USF and in the Palmarejo Valley investigating site location relative to water resources in order to reevaluate the concept of “community” as it is used in archaeology. My other interests include GPS mapping, Geographic Information Systems, and Three dimensional laser scanning technology.
