WHO IS ZECHARIA SITCHIN? According to the World-Mysteries website, "Zecharia Sitchin was born in Russia, was raised in Palestine, (and) graduated from the University of London with a degree in economic history. He worked for years as a journalist and editor in Israel before settling in New York." Sitchin bases his claims on personal translations of Mesopotamian texts, clay tablets and mythology, as well as stories from other cultures, including the Judeo-Christian Bible. Beginning in 1977 with the publication of The Twelfth Planet, Sitchin has sold millions of books claiming to detail his findings and to speculate on the "true" origins of humankind and humanity's history. His most recent publication, The Earth Chronicles Expeditions: Journeys to the Mystical Past merely reiterates the claims of his previous texts by providing "research supporting his conclusion that ancient myths are recollections of actual events, the gods of ancient peoples were visitors from another planet, and that we are not alone in our solar system" (Amazon.com). |

After creating homo
sapiens, the Anunnaki used them as slaves until they began thinking for themselves,
at which time, the "gods" decided to destroy Earth. The Anunnaki eventually left
Earth, but when Nibiru (Planet X) returns (either in 2012 or 2050), they will once again
