| What is cyberbullying? Cyberbullying occurs when a child is harassed, threatened, teased, and/or humiliated by another child through electronic means. Cyberbullies use the internet, instant messenger, emails, bulletin boards, blogs, websites and cellular phones to degrade and insult their victims. Effects of cyberbullying Children who are victims of cyberbullies often feel depressed, lonely, and/or angry. Victims often stop attending school because they do not want to face their cyberbully or peers. Many times the cyberbully will embarrass the victim and share the messages or images with peers. The victims' isolation from peers continues to fuel their low self-esteem. As a result, some children commit suicide. Four Types of Cyberbullies 1.
