What is Cyberbullying?


Cyberbullying is defined as bullying through electronic means, such as through the computer, cell phone texting, and pagers. Cyberbullying causes emotional harm, psychological damage, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, social wthdrawal, and even suicide.

Some examples of cyberbullying include sending cruel messages via cell phone texting or email, creating websites that ridicule others, and posting a picture of someone on-line without their consent

-Tips for Prevention-

1.) Do not respond or engage in the abuse
2.) Talk to someone about it!
3.) Keep records of the communication. Never destroy the evidence of the      abuse
4.) Do not release your personal information via electronic means. Personal      information includes your full name, date of birth, Social Security                  number, and home address.
