My name is Alain Volentik, I am a PhD student in physical volcanology in the Department of Geology at the University of South Florida (in Tampa).

In this website, you will find some informations about my Research project in physical volcanology at the University of South Florida (USF). My field area is in Ecuador and I am currently mapping and modelling the 2450 BP Plinian fallout deposit of Pululagua Volcano.

In the Facilities page I present the granulometry analyses lab that I am running in our volcanology group, in particular the Malvern PharmaVision optical device.
